Nathan Weise Officially Launches Campaign for U.S. House in Ohio’s 1st Congressional District

Cincinnati, OH – August 8, 2026 – Today, Nathan Weise announced his candidacy for the United States House of Representatives in Ohio’s 1st Congressional District. Weise is excited for the opportunity to represent the people of Southwest Ohio—not special interest groups, powerful donors, or partisan factions.

Why is Nathan Running?

“For most of my life, I have watched government grow while the liberties promised to all fade away. Trillions of dollars have been spent on wars across the world while surveillance has expanded across the United States. The promise of a better future has been thrown away to benefit those in power, while everyday Ohioans struggle to make ends meet. It was never meant to be this way. The status quo created these problems, and it will not solve them. Washington needs a change in leadership—a new generation willing to go against the political establishment, defend our constitutional freedoms, and fight for the liberties of all people. I am prepared to be that change.”

Priorities

Weise’s campaign centers on four core priorities: making America affordable again, stopping government mass surveillance, meaningful immigration reform, and ending endless wars. He has called for reducing the number of active U.S. military bases abroad, rejecting the role of world police. On immigration enforcement, he supports abolishing ICE and replacing it with nothing.

Weise invites residents of the district and supporters across the country to join the campaign. Volunteers, event attendees, and contributors can learn more and get involved at weiseforcongress.com.
